Pilates is an innovative system of exercise originally developed by Joseph Pilates as a form of strengthening and rehabilitation during World War I. Today, it's practiced by people of all ages and fitness levels worldwide. The exercises may be performed on a mat or on large apparatuses, like the Reformer, that add resistance and support. With regular practice Pilates can dramatically improve the way your body feels and performs allowing you to move with less pain and more ease.
